Who I am
As you might already know my name is Lim sooheun. My English name is Lin. I don't spell my name Lynn because I wanted to keep my first English name, Linda. I chose my english name when I was young so without knowing the nuance of names I select Linda. After a few years later I found out that Linda is for old lady. I wanted to change my name but I also wanted to keep my first english name so I spell my english name Lin.
There are 4 members in my family; father, mother, older brother and me. There are no people who can love me more than my family. My family spend time together like friends. When I was a kid, we had family time in every weekend. We played badminton, ping-pong, and bowling in day and watch movies in the evening. To me there is no happier moment than spending time with my family.
I was born in Seoul national hospital in january 28th 1992. Because my brother was born by a Caesarean operation I was also born by a caesarean section. When I was hospitalized, my grandmother was hospitalized too. She had a precognitive dream about the birth of me. She said that she saw a beautiful pink rose comes out splendidly so my baptismal name is Maria.
After a few month of my birth my family moved to Japan. I lived there for about 2 years. Since I was just a baby I don't have any memory of being there. Photos are the only proof of living in Japan. When I came back to Korea I lived in DeaJuen. I went to Christian Kindergarten with neighbor, jun-ho. He and I hanged out most of time. When we arrived home after school, He and I used to play house.
When I became 6 years old, I moved to Bundang. I believe bundang is the best place to live. General hospitals, parks, department stores and subway stations which make people lives easier are all over Bundang. I went to measong elementary school and Imea junior high school and high school. when I was elementary student, I was a tomboy. I ran around the neighbors and ride bicycle to some where I had never been. I often fell down and skinned my knee. I still have scars in my knee. I was not the kind of girl who is grown-up of my age. I was rather immature in my age. However, when I went on to high school, I changed 180 degree. I was no longer a tomboy who run aground everywhere. I learn how to stay calm and focus on something. I started to study really hard. Maybe I might have studied harder than any other moments in my whole life. I became mature and started to show leadership. Being in charge of something made me feel satisfaction. Also Taking care of classmates was rewarding.
My motto is "make a decision I will least regret". Therefore i take quite a lot of time in making a decision.
Baking and knitting is my hobbies. Watching American dramas is my favorite way of killing time. If I have more free time, I might watch American dramas for hours everyday. Most of all, I love overseas trip because I love taking plain and spending time in hotels. The feeling that you can feel when the plain goes up and down is the most exciting part of taking plain. Also sleeping in newly washed sheet is as fresh as breathing in the morning air. Any color that can make me feel comfortable is my favorite color. My favorite day is Christmas. I don't have a clear reason why I am so crazy about christmas but whenever the christmas is drawing closer I get excited.
According to the Jung's test results my personality type is ENFJ. ENFJ type people tend to be sensitive in other' feelings. Also they are punctual and has solid purpose and values. I consider myself as a extrovert but diffident at the same time. Usually I am the one who approach to others first. However I become really timid when I treat friends. I try not to be rude and apologize first. To be a better person as an ENFJ type , I should clam down and try not to hurry. I also should give up on controlling every thing. The test result recommended to be a teacher or counselor. I have taken several similar test like Jung's test and most of the test I took recommended the same thing. However I am trying not to fit myself to the result. This shows only a few parts of me.
I don't have particular style in studying. If there is, it might be studying in the library. I mostly studies in the library. I cannot concentrate at home. I barely study at home unless I'm in hurry. so when I think I should study I go to any library close to me. One way of my English studying is watching American dramas. I remember I watched three episode before taking English test. Watching American dramas is really helpful in listening skills.
Since I started to think that I am good at English, I like English and decide I will conquer English. It was dare decision but I believed in myself and kept studying. I still like English and one day I will be good at english. Plus, I'm also good at teaching. When I study and prepare for tests, I study as if I am going to teach, which means that I do understand the context and translate into my words. I have been dong this for years so do well. When friends ask something I know, they get the answer they understand. Therefore combining these two character is English teacher. This is the reason why I applied to this major. I am not good at handling children rather I like to spend time with adult. So I prefer professor over elementary or middle school teacher. Moreover, I want to study and find better way in teaching English so professor is more appropriate job for me since professor are more able to research.
